We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs), to the extent they apply to us.

We collect health and lifestyle information in the course of coaching. Information about a person's health, diet, training, sleep, stress, injuries, and related markers is sensitive information. We only collect it where it is reasonably necessary for our services and, where required, with your consent.

If you do not provide information we need, we may be unable to respond to an enquiry or deliver a safe, tailored programme.

We do not sell personal information.

We do not use client stories, names, photos, or identifiable results in marketing without your written consent.

• ·Professional advisers (for example an accountant, insurer, or lawyer) where reasonably necessary

• ·Authorities, if the law requires it, or if we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to prevent a serious threat to life, health, or safety

Providers may be in Australia or overseas (for example the United States or Europe), depending on the software we use. Where we disclose information overseas, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is handled in a way that is consistent with the APPs.

We do not give your information to unrelated marketers.

Our website may use cookies or similar tools that are needed for the site to work, and may use basic analytics through our host or a third-party tool.

These tools can collect device data, pages viewed, and referral source. They are used to operate and understand the site, not to build a public profile of you.

You can control cookies in your browser. If you block them, some site features may not work as intended.

If we later add email marketing, booking software, or advertising pixels, we will update this Policy.

We hold information in email, notes, files, and reputable cloud tools used to run the practice.

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification, or disclosure. No online or email system is completely secure. Please do not send highly sensitive documents over unsecured email if you are not comfortable doing so; ask us for a more secure method.

If a data breach is likely to cause serious harm, we will assess it and, where the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme applies, notify affected individuals and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).

We keep enquiry and client records for as long as needed to deliver the service, handle follow-up, and meet legal or insurance requirements. As a guide:

• ·Unsuccessful enquiries may be deleted when no longer needed
• ·Client coaching and billing records are usually kept for at least seven years after the last engagement, or longer if the law requires

When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to destroy or de-identify it.

You may ask to access the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it if it is wrong, out of date, or incomplete.

Email scott@paleo-first.com with the subject line "Privacy request". We may need to confirm your identity. We will respond within a reasonable time, usually within 30 days.

In limited cases the Privacy Act allows us to refuse access. If we do, we will explain why, unless it is unreasonable to do so.

If you enquire or become a client, we will contact you about your enquiry, programme, sessions, and invoices.

We do not run a mass marketing list by default. If we ever send optional updates, you can opt out by replying "unsubscribe" or emailing us.
